1Card is a Kuala Lumpur-born digital business card platform built for the way Malaysians actually do business — over WhatsApp, at kopitiams, in air-con offices, and in the back of a Grab.
In 2024, our founder ran a small consulting practice out of Bangsar. He went through a box of 500 printed business cards in 11 months — and got back exactly 23 calls. The cards looked great. They just sat in wallets.
He tried imported digital card platforms, but they all felt designed for Americans: monthly billing in USD, no WhatsApp button, no understanding of the Malaysian market. So he built one for himself. Friends asked for accounts. Their friends asked. Within months, 1Card was a real product.
